2D Work

My first 2d software was Dpaint on the amiga, which used to make animtions and paintings and completed a course at a media college that gained me entry to the school of design in Stoke. Here I learned to use Director, Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator, which I continue to use today alongside other applications such as Artrage,' the gimp' and inkscape.

Whilst working with Creative Digital Assembly in London I began to use After Effects, at first simply to combine 3d layers post rendering, but then more as a motion graphics tool in it's own right. At Shroom, myself and Alex used AE massively to quickly turn out projects both simple and complex and I still consider it a core tool.

Above is a clip from the BBC3 series 'mischief', illustrating the painful process that is circumcision

This clip, also from Mischeif was made to talk about some of the causes of binge drinking for the episode 'Booze Birds'

These two clips were done this summer for Juliet Bath's short piece 'Bibiliomania' as front and end pieces. Although they appear to be purely 2D, they were actually done using Blender in 3D, using mesh deformation and semi automatic lip sync.
